No it's plenty common, I just haven't seen BTTF II in a long time.Monroe wrote:

Sorry about my obscure movie references. I keep thinking their common place like the bone marrow thing >.>

Yes, this car could run off of semi-clean waste water (no large chunks of matter). You would just need to run clean water through it once in a while.

Cars have been running on hydrogen for (relatively) a long time. The only thing new on this is that the hydrogen extractor is in the car, rather than in a factory somewhere.

This is the big deal. This car may actually make it to the market (most likely as either a Toyota or a Honda).
Water goes in, and water comes out. And the car is not running off of the hydrogen, it is running off of the electrons.

Sadly No, it ended in season 10. And during the last circle(when they got...well you know) Hyde brought it up one last time(I think they even had a montage of all the previous times he mentioned it after saying it was like they never ran out of things to talk about).Cpl Kendall wrote:HA! Is this shyte for real? I swear the U.S. govt. would find a way to make it only run on fresh water so large bottling companies can make a big profit.
Don't you hear my call, though you're many years away, don't you hear me calling you?
Re: New car that runs on water!
Yes it is real. And thankfully it is Japanese do the US gov has slighly less say.

Re: New car that runs on water!
yeah it does
the waste product is distilled water
what i think you're talking about is a very efficient hydrogen fuel cell car
And this specifically said it ran on water and it ionizes the hydrogen, thusforth using the electrons

Re: New car that runs on water!
How exactly does the car run off electrons?
If it isn't using electrolysis and the reporter didn't make a goof, please explain it to me.

Re: New car that runs on water!
If I understand this correctly, the car is "cracking" the hydrogen from the water and burning that. It's a standard hydrogen car with the cracking plant onboard.
I'm no engineer but I can't see how a car is running on electrons.

you all do know that all electricity is is free-moving electrons
right?
right?
