So how long before we run out of water then? Given the BS we pulled with oil (even running weedwackers on it), I have no doubt that we'd run the Earth out of water in a heartbeat if it meant we could go .5 km's to the corner store without walking.

Awesome idea for a vehicle though.

The great thing is, it runs off of any water. Ocean water, creek water, Hudson river water (not everyone will get it). Basically, it runs for free. And I doubt we could ever run out of water, barring any corperate destruction.

Yeah, we were never going to run out of oil too.

Never mind me, I'm just cynical. Would it run on waste water?

OMG! Hyde was right. (As a running gag Hyde would talk about this car that ran on water on occasion)

I think regular gas engines could run on Hudson River water.

An RV with a grey-water tank that doubles as the fuel tank?

That's along the lines of what I'm thinking. Need a good filter though, unless you can turn food bits into hydrogen.

Yeah and you don't need tons of water. I've seen water engines in the past, its not really that new of an idea, i made a thread about it awhile ago, but this seems to have the best WPG (Water per gallon) out there.
How many Minbari does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

Only if you're planning on going back in time.

Don't suppose this could be used to power a small boat? Or maybe to charge a submarines battery in an emergency, such as the nuclear plant going offline?

Subs already have batterries and diesel backups. What might be an interesting idea is to have this as the subs main reactor/engine and draw water in from outside.

I'll let someone else do the math but :)

If 1 litre of water can move that car 80km, how much water would a sub use to move itself?

To run the Flux Compacitor you could use food wastes.
Sorry about my obscure movie references. I keep thinking their common place like the bone marrow thing >.>
