Oh please! God forbid that a reporter might actually expect a politician to answer a question directly. Especially a Fox News reporter, when they know that they are going to get lambasted no matter what they do. And yes that is sarcasm.

The point is not whether baier expected a direct answer. The point is that any politician - left, right, or center - would use those questions to pontificate and to expand tangentially regarding his own agenda. Obama answered no differently than any other politician would have in the history of ever. Baier, however, attempted to use that as an opportunity for a) self-aggrandizement, and b) an attempt to portray Obama as a prevaricator when he was simply answering as any other politician would. I guarantee you that if Steele were in the chair opposite Baier, Baier would have let him ramble on about anything or nothing without word one.
