Aye, each time they do it they pretend to be just "fixing some old stuff that was already agreed to".

Edited for true intentions.

Yes. The basic concept was to integrate the French and German economies to such an extent that they'd cripple themselves by starting another war. Most of the recent Napoleonic ambitions have been Frog-inspired as well.

Hence the term, "Napoleonic."

Actualy, the French public voted against the treaty last time. For once, they can't take the blame.

The French public voted against it. The French government is another matter entirely.

I think it's an awesome idea. Unfortunately they are implementing it like a pack of morons, it worked fine as an economic bloc. The problem came about when they tried to become the United States of Europe.

Exactly my feelings on it. Indeed, the country that's probably got the best deal out of the EU is Switzerland - they're part of the European Economic Area, so they get all the advantages of the free trade zone, without all the nause coming out of Brussels.

Rest of Europe can't afford to mess with Swiss, they know where they buried all the gold after all, even the Nazi's didn't mess with em from what I remember.

That's because it is all mountains. You don't shoot off artillery next to snow-covered mountains (unless you have a deathwish).
Oh yeah, and the Swiss agreed to hold all the money.

Yeah, "neutral". Making money off of evil is evil in of itself.

The EU worked brilliantly when it was limited to economic matters. They did wonders for the various European economies. Hell, Ireland would still be a backwater shithole if it weren't for them.

The problem, as you point out, is that they're trying to turn us all into one big happy nation, when it's quite apparent that it's A) not going to work and B) nobody wants it.
