*shrug* No idea. He's probably off doing military-related activities. He's dropped off the board a few times without warning because of that a few times before.

Could be on one of his occasional coffee benders with his old military mates.

Yeah Tsu is probably fine, he seemed pretty prepared.

Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated.

I'm finally back... Hell of a week.

Thanks, Deep. Praise be to the Emperor, indeed. Things could've been a lot worse. I'll get a short video up a little later, after I get my camera drivers loaded again.

I guess I'll just detail the hurricane experience here, so I don't clutter up a dozen other threads.

The hurricane caused light damage to my apartment complex, but (thankfully) none to my apartment. My mom came up on Thursday the 11th to ride it out here; I had supplies (water, batteries, candles etc.). Power was out from a few hours after I logged off here until Tuesday the 16th, but mom is old, and I didn't really feel like waiting around either, so we loaded up my dogs, my guitar, and my computer on Monday and went to her house in Sugar Land because the power was back on down there.

When I set my computer back up, my hard drive promptly died, so we waited for Fry's to open (on Thursday the 18th) and bought a new one. Still no dice trying to format and reinstall Windows - it took me another day to identify the problem sans internet, and pull my old RAM out. She has no internet down there, so I only got back online again today, after I got home and cleaned my apartment up.

Thankfully, everyone I care about is okay, and no one lost their homes or anything, which is a great blessing.

However, Centerpoint Energy (the company that does repairs and maintenance on power systems here) has been slooooow getting power restored to the city, and Uzume's boyfriend hasn't been able to work since a few days before the storm. Their power *might* be on by this Thursday, and as a result, they can't make their rent this month. I'm trying to help them get some assistance from FEMA, but the gov'mint is notoriously slow, and they may not get any help in time... :bangwall:

I'll try to get a video up later - I still have a lot of work to do getting my computer back to 100%

Apply for a low limit credit card from your back or their bank. Even if you don't have the card you can use the account number to pay your bill. They normally take a few days to clear.

See, that's a bit of a problem considering that I don't have a bank account (and about $40 to my name). Cash in a box, protected by Glock.

She might have an account still; I'm unsure.

Teaos - thanks. Awful considerate of you guys.

You could always raise some funds by selling off some of your collecter porn online
