A New World Order????
Just be grateful the UN hasn't got the EU's desires.

Yet. Is it true that the EU is also trying to get some substantial power over NATO? Just on of those random things I heard while chatting with some randoms at a bar (So not exactly reliable information to say the least...)
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

It's trying to establish an "EU army" in competition to NATO, but I've never heard any suggestion of it attempting to establish any degree of control over it. It would be a waste of time trying to anyway, given that NATO's effectively US Forces Europe, plus a few extras.

Ah, yes, "EUFOR". An army that has somehow managed to make itself even less useful than the French army.

Well, it does contain French troops.

It also contains Dutch troops, who have a far more recent record of uselessness.

Well, at least they can balance each other out 8)

and walk like Frankenstein.

Pardon me? They are one of the four NATO nations deployed in Afghanistan to actually engage in combat on a regular basis. Are you sure your not thinking of Germany?

Eh? How exactly do two lots of useless troops balance each other out? If anything they'd amplify each other's uselessness - the Ghurkas would have problems compensating for that degree of uselessness.

My apologies to the Dutch army if they've improved since the mid 90's - I'm thinking specifically of the cock-up at Srebrenica.

That's not exactly a fault of the Army but the Dutch government themselves and the BS ROE from the UN. But yes, they are just as capable as any of the NATO nations and I'd personally put them in the top five.

Fair enough then - the apology is therefore extended to the original statement.
