Fixed, apparently.
Fixed your fix.

Not really - too indecisive. Gustavus was right to abandon it and return to driving the charge home.

I'm afraid I must admit my lack of your knowledge of northern European history. I guess you're talking about the Lion of the North, but I don't recognize the carousel reference.

It's a variation on a cavalry tactic popular in the 16th and early 17th centuries. The intention was to try and maintain cavalry as an effective force in the gunpowder age by arming them with pistols and having them ride round and round in circles, successively firing and then retiring to reload - the caracole. This, while it provided an answer of sorts to the combination of pike and musket prevalent at the time, prevented the cavalry from playing a truly decisive role. Gustavus Adolphus binned the concept and returned the cavalry to the role of delivering shock action with sword and sabre.

Well, I guess it paid off because the Lion did rather well for himself. However, I was referring to the carnival ride.

Just make a poll already, Chuck Norris or the "whoever" that Seafort is talking about.

Can we put a 3rd option in, something like "I like icecream better".

Doing the poll in the UK would be clearly biased. It should be worldwide... with the third option being "Who are they?" just for fun.

So mods now clearly endorse 'my choice is better than your choice' discussions, and polls can be made too. Interesting .....

It was world wide, or at least as world wide as DITL - Mr T vs Norris, with an option for "other - say who". "Other" won, with a long list of reasons why Sharpie is badass.

That is not nearly a large enough sample size to justify a concrete answer to this most pressing question.

It's not really a pressing question, since EVERYONE is owned by Mr Rogers.
