I had the same question, and I don't know.

Two miles isn't all that far, depending on the time of day, her speed and the awareness of the other drivers it doesn't seem all that unreal.

Dunno how she got that far either. I do recall though, a documentary on the German Autobahn, in which it was reveled that that road is host to the peculiar phenomenon the Germans call "ghost drivers" (only they say it in German ), which do more or less what this lady did, on purpose.

Then there are the stories you sometimes hear about people throwing (or dropping from overpasses) large objects into the path of traffic on highways...

To be fair, 40% of Germany's Autobahn network is completely unlimited. You can go as fast as you want.

There was a case I read about where some kids(teenagers) dropped a frozen turkey, it went through the windshield of a car and hit the woman in the face and broke most of her facial bones.

I knew of one idiot that was dropping moltov cocktails off a freeway overpass to make cars dodge the flames, back when I lived in Vegas. IIRC the story correctly, the defense attorney called it a childish prank and said the kid couldn't be held responsible as he'd been smoking pot before hand. Tried to get him probation and 30 days treatment.

Not the best defense in the world, but as they say, when your accused of a major crime, always confess to a lesser one.
