Dude, its only bad to necro a thread if you have nothing new to add. When its something important like this... always feel free.

BTW, are they going to raise the level cap by any chance?

Yep, it'll go from 20 to 30 and will allow extra roaming after that quest line is finished I believe. New perks too.

I hope they fix the third-person perspective for New Vegas so it's actually playable that way. New Vegas though, wasn't that in Fallout 2?

Not too sure, go check out The Wiki and I'm sure it'll tell you.

Looks like I was thinking of New Reno.

New add on content for fallout 3 announced!
Up first, we're working on DLC for the PlayStation 3. We'll be releasing Operation: Anchorage in late June, followed by the release of The Pitt and Broken Steel 4-6 weeks apart after. Later this year, PlayStation 3 users will also get

our next two DLCs, Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta. Coming first to Xbox LIVE and Games for Windows LIVE in June and July, respectively, here's a brief synopis on both:

* Point Lookout - Explore a massive new swampland area filled with new quests and content.
* Mothership Zeta - The aliens have returned, and they're pissed. Experience an alien abduction first hand and find out if you're tough enough to survive.

Finally, we've got three more Fallout releases coming to retail this year:

* Fallout 3 Game Add-on Pack #1 includes The Pitt and Operation: Anchorage on a disc and will be available for Xbox 360 and PC on May 26.
* The Fallout 3 Game Add-on Pack #2 includes Broken Steel and Point Lookout on a disc and will be available for Xbox 360 and PC in August.
* A Fallout 3 Game of the Year edition will be available in October. It will include the original game plus all five add-ons for $59.99 for Xbox 360 and PS3, and $49.99 for PC.

It's worth noting that retail versions of the game add-on packs for PS3 are not possible and the DLC will only be available for download online via PlayStation Network.

So does anybody have the dlc stuff? Just wondering if it's worth picking them up (or adding more useless MS crap to my computer so I can download them ;) ).

I don't have them on disk but I have downloaded all the extra packs so far and they are good fun (on xbox 360)

In order of preference I'd say Broken Steel, Point Lookout, Operation Anchorage, the Pitt - the final content, Mother Zeta, is coming out for download end of this month or start of next with disk version of same coming shorty thereafter (per one of my earlier posts)

Well, I have them on disk now and have played through everyone but Broken Steel. They are excellent, easily better and more interesting then the main quest. The Pitt is my current favourite but I've found if you do Operation Anchorage, then The Pitt and Mothership Zeta you basically become a demi-god; unstoppable on anything but Very Hard or you come across a shielded alien.

I played in that order, found an Enclave Soldier on my way to the Outcasts (so I got a laser right off the bat), got the PA from the Outcasts and finished MZ with about 2000 rounds of alien ammo.

It sort of breaks the game but it's fun.

I've just picked up Fallout 3. The intro is playing now.

Not sure what type of character to play, guess I'll just make choices based on individual merit rather then trying to be good or evil.

The very first fallout game?

I picked up a bundle of the first couple of games for the pc but I must say I didn't warm to them. Maybe its the isometric view thingy or I've just been spoiled with 3 and the first person view but I def prefer 3.

Ah thats ok. I think you'll enjoy it. There's a fallout wiki if you get really stuck - but be warned it has spoilers all over it so maybe use it on your second run through to get unique items or find stuff on the map.
