I remember seeing it as a kid; the accelerated-time anomaly fight scene was hilarious, IIRC.

I really want to take Smith's appraisal of the film as a good sign, but I can only trust so much of the man who brought us the "not for critics" film Jersey Girl.

I think it's best to just wait 'till we see it ourselves to judge, though that Smith has given it the thumbs up is a small ray of hope for the film's quality.
