But we never saw anything in DS9 MU that surpassed that. Unless their doing some weird leap frog tech tree game.

We're not talking about the TNG era MU. We're talking about the TOS era one. And given that the TNG era MU had been trashed by wars that overthrew the dominant power and put an alliance of minor powers in charge who could still build ships many times the size of any Starfleet's ever built, I'd say the TOS era MU would give the TOS era Feds a proper thumping.

Sorry, I just don't see it. The DS9 MU had forces afraid to face one Defiant. I just don't think that one big ship shows us anything more then that Worf wanted a big ship.

I somehow don't think that ship design would be a priority of the TE. They have the bigger and more guns mentality, but as for designing new ships or tech, I just don't think so. Earth developed the NX class on its own, but "found" the tech to construct Connie's. So, it is even quite likely that they never DID refit their ships the way the UFP did. Just had built several more. So, I can reasonably see the TE having more Connie's, but origianal style, because that is where the tech they got from Defiant ended. The UFP never needed to field THAT many "combat" ships, but instead took the time to upgrade what they did have, and spend some time on R&D. I just don't think the MU would likely have even concieved the Excelsior.

Afraid? They were forced to withdraw, thanks to the fact that they couldn't shoot straight. That certainly doesn't equate to being "afraid".

Huh? They build a ship hundreds of times the size of a GCS and you're claiming it means nothing more than "Worf wanted a big ship"?

How often do you see Klingons run again?

Please, that was an FX error like so many others. Larger then the normal Negh'var sure. But to say its hundreds of times larger, crap.

"Elaan of Troyius", "Way of the Warrior", "By Inferno's Light", "Call to Arms", "Once More Unto the Breach".

Ever heard of "suspension of disbelief"? I may have mentioned it once or twice.

Look at the size of the thing in comparison to a BoP or a Galor - it's several km long.

This seems to be a pretty close one according to the poll. What was the closest call of all?

AFAIK, this was the closest result.

Mean. Like two minutes ago the UFP was slightly in the lead. Now, it's a deadlock. Somebody better call the ambassadors to try and work out a peace treaty. Of course the ambassadors from the MU would just try and kill the UFPs so it's likely a moot point

The Terrans have it.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.
