I wonder who was more scared.
What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Re: Favourite character?
Very true. I was very moved by the Arizona memorial, and was enraged beyond belief by fellow tourists who walked through laughing and joking with no mind for the fact that they were walking through the mausoleum of men who died in the service of their nation. Be that as it may, I will never forget the sight of fresh leis floating amidst the oil which still rises from the hull of the Arizona.

They think that i'ma gonna stop and try to be straight, they got another thing coming.Mark wrote:Well, the best answer I can give are from the Mormons I know personally. I haven't heard that the church was sharing anything other that their traditional opinion. Of the six that I know, one is anti-gay,four have the "different strokes for different folks theory (not their thing but it doesn't really bother them personally), and one feels that it is a "cureable affliction" if they would just stop and try and be hetero.Mikey wrote:How do the Mormons feel about the issue, Mark? Reliant - you can't even imagine how much MORE you'd love Hawai'i once you see it. It is absolutely paradise.![]()
As for Hawaii being paradise, I don't know. We get these radical weather shifts. In the summer it averages 85 degrees but in the winter it drops all the way down to 82 8) I so love not freezing my a$$ off
And i intend to visit Hawai'i at least once in my life. There and Japan.

I've always wanted to visit Hawaii, its not to far from me, but there are several other places I want to go that are further up that list.

I'd love to go back. There are some places I didn't have the opportunity to visit, and I'd dearly like to watch a sunset from the top of Hale'akala again.

I'm trying to get to see the outer islands. I live on Oahu, where the capitol is. Visited Maui a couple of times and man, it is lovely out there. It is less "city-fied". The Big Island of Hawaii has the volcano that has been erupting constantly for about 20 years now, and that's were we get our Kona coffee from, and it's pretty big yet sparsley settled. I've never been to Kauai, Lanai, or Molokai yet, but I'm going to Kauai at the end of next month. It's supposed to be the most lush and tropical of all the islands. There is one island, (I cannot think of the name) where as a white man, I'm not allowed to go. Only native hawaiians can live there, and even they must be over a certain percentage hawaiian. I'm told, but I don't know for sure, that they live as their ancestors did. In grass huts and fishing for food, but I don't know for sure if that is true.

You're thinking of Ni'ihau. I've visited Oahu and Maui (which I fell in love with.) But I'd love to visit Hawai'i, Molokai, Lana'i, and Kauai. A friend was married on Kauai, but I wan't able to get out there - I'm told that that there is a certain river valley on Kauai that is very popular for weddings.
