No doubt.

It's rather old, though (1992); I'm surprised you hadn't at least heard of it. Honestly, if I had a choice between replaying SC2 or watching VOY or ENT DVDs in my spare time, I'd play Star Control every time.

You can get it free here. Open source, totally legal. :)

I didn't even consider Star Control; I was focused on TV or movie Sci-fi.

Nice work representing the Spathi, BTW. "Cloaked fleet" indeed.

And, now we have Replicators onboard... We might need another new ship soon, at this rate.
Actually Star Control isn't what the next encounter is. I am still counting them as part of the HL2 encounter. ;) Next encounter is a hugely recognized Sci-Fi no one has seemed to be able to guess :P

I don't know if this is a good guess, but I noticed the absence of a certain Time Lord... Anyway, are we supposed to be finding the Ur-quan or fighting the Replicators?

He died in the first post, remember?

If we have Replicators on board, we need to deal with them ASAP. Energy weapons won't work on them either, BTW.

On the other hand, more than one Ur-Quan Kohr-ah ship poses a serious threat. As advanced as our ship is, I don't know how well it'll do against massive, razor-sharp blades hitting at a good percentage of light speed.

Probably wouldn't fare too well. You can do whichever one you want first. The Replicators are trying not to be found as they're using the ship to give them access to new feeding grounds in different universes. So right now the Replicator menace is pretty small. They only have the one nanite humanoid Replicator, and maybe a dozen or so other ones that will try to keep low and out of the way. That could change in a hurry though.

The Ur-Quan ship is an optional quest so like any RPG you don't have to do it and you can do it whenever you want. But the Spathi device will come in handy.

Sorry missed this:

Civilian Team:
Iceman
Dietrich
Kallen (or Mark's char if Mark does come)

Since Mark evidently won't be joining us (Despite saying he would make a post that night :P) looks like Iceman, Dietrich, Kallen, and two unnamed Starfleet guys. Since I don't think Sayian or Staplic will be returning I guess your entire team is killable, Kendall. Just in case you wanted to screw up and get caught ;)

Honestly, Iceman should be able to seriously wreck shop if things go south. Other than the tripods and larger vehicles, I don't see much that would be a threat to him.

I don't think we should kill Iceman, either. Simply because Staplic said he might come back and was nice enough to let us know he couldn't participate anymore. Just my humble opinion, there.

Will write up a post in a bit.

Wasn't planning on killing any of them, someone might lose an appendage or a limb but we have an expert in genetics and augmentic limbs with us. ;)

I find the idea of Iceman with a mechanical steam powered arm to be...amusing.
