Theres a Town named Arnold both in Nottinghamshire, and in Yorkshire which are midlands to north England.

I think Tsu was of the mind that it was named for a certain General B. Arnold. My hometown of Franklin Township gets that a lot - rather than Ben, it was named for his bastard son William, who was a loyalist official during the Colonial period.
