The Obameter

Click Me.

A nifty little thing that lets you keep track of how many of his campaign promises Obama has kept/broken/is working on/etc.
Five done already? He's been busy.

Interesting. He sure has a lot of work to do.

cool, nice find.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Quite encouraged by what he's done so far.

I wonder what a "Bushometer" would look like - but would we have wanted all of those pledges fulfilled?

There's already been a Bushometer, though it had nothing to do with George Bush, but rather Kate Bush.

My fave BBC radio show counted up the days that Kate Bush didn't appear on the show. Can't remember how high it got before she turned up.

It'll be nigh impossible to keep every single thing he promissed. But hopefully there will be very few he'll have to break.

This sort of bullshit really ticks me off. Here we are, all of 6 days into the presidency, and already some jackasses with nothing better to do than write editorials about somebody else with an actual job are already picking apart how many things Obama hasn't done yet? Did these stumps ever consider how long it takes to enact some of the changes Obama had discussed, or the fact that all of his efforts in a certain direction could come to naught if killed in the legislature?

This article is nothing but an extreme case of folks who know everything, but understand nothing.

I didnt see it like that. I saw it like a simple meter to rate how he does as time goes on.

I'd say a minimum of 18 months is needed before we can we can begin to rate him in this manner.

I think it was meant more as a counter to allow people who don't want to wade through political news to see how far along he's going. I don't think they were criticizing him with this.

I don't mind valid criticism of anyone. This, however, is a license for any uninformed idiot to form a baseless opinion of the entire administration record.

I agree. I didn't see it as an attack at all.

I didn't either.

going back to a previous post about giving him time...He's either going to be a two month or a two term president...If he hasn't met up to at least the minimum expectation in two months, he probably won't be back for a second term.
