Notes

Starbase 1 was one of the the oldest and and most venerable stations in the Federation. It was located in the Sol system, originally in Earth orbit. [2] It was originally a human station used to store seeds and samples of Earth life at the start of World War Three, in order to protect it for the future. By the time it was possible to return the material to Earth it had become too large. [1]

By 2258, Starbase 1 had been relocated into orbit around Jupiter. [1] Later that year Starbase 1 hosted talks with the R'ongovian Protectorate to encourage them to join the Federation. [2]
