Notes

A primitive probe launched in the 14th century from Kataan. It was composed of a ceramic alloy of paricium and talgonite. The craft was programmed to travel through space until it encountered another life form, whereupon it would use a nucleonic beam to transmit a complex set of simulation memories into it. The hope was that a record of life on Kataan would thus be preserved. The probe also contained several artifacts of the Kataan civilisation. [3]
