Acting under the compulsion of a homing signal built into his program, Lieutenant Commander Data hijacks the Enterprise-D and takes it to the planet Terlina III, where Professon Noonien Soong is discovered to still be alive. Soong offers Data a chip designed to allow him to experience emotions. Lore also answers the call; the psychotic android steals the chip and kills Soong. [2]
