In 2265 he took part in a discussion on the Political Castemoot Sublink of the Tholian telepathic lattice concerning the Federation intrusion into the Taurus Reach. He argued for Tholian action against the Federation presence in the Reach. During the course of the conversation he experienced the massively powerful alien thought pulse which disrupted the lattice.
