He was to transport Captain Picard back to Iyar; unbeknownst to the Captain, Voval had orders to crashland the shuttle on a deserted planet where he was to impersonate a Human woman who had once lived there. The woman had fallen in love with another crash survivor, and Voval attempted to investigate this emotion with Captain Picard. [1]
