Grand Nagus of the Ferengi, Zek typified the attitude of that species towards capitalism. He was obsessed by profit, to the exclusion of almost all else. [1] He did eventually become romantically involved with Ishka, Quark's mother, which mellowed his attitude somewhat. [2]
