An alien encountered by Voyager in 2375, Qatai had for many years been obsessively hunting a gigantic telepathic creature which survived in space by swallowing and digesting ships it encountered, using telepathic images todistract the crew. He helped Seven of Nine to break Voyager free of the alien when her crew fell under the influence of the creature. [1]
