The son of the Catullan ambassador to the Federation, Tongo Rad was a follower of Dr Severin and a member of his expedition to discover the mythical Eden. In 2269 he assisted Severin in stealing the cruiser Aurora, and in disabling the Enterprise crew and stealing a shuttlecraft. No charges were pressed after Eden was in fact discovered but was found to be highly toxic. [1]
