T'Pring

NotesImagesTimelineQuotes
Universe : Prime Timeline
Name : T'Pring [1]
Species : Vulcans

T'Pring was the 'fiance' of Commander Spock. In line with Vulcan tradition the two were telepathically bonded at age seven. [1] She was born on Vulcan on 2230 to Sevet and T'Pril. [2]

In the 2258, T'Pring was an administrator and treatment specialist for the El-Keshtanktil. She served at the Vulcan rehabilitation colony Ankeshtan K'til helping inmates come to terms with uncontrolled emotions and guide them back to the ways of logic. [3]

In 2258, T'Pring visited Spock on Starbase 1, where she was tasked with finding a fugitive from the Ankeshtan K'til who has hiding out there. During the visit T'Pring requested that she and Spock take part in a Vulcan soul sharing ritual. Unfortunately, things went wrong and T'Pring and Spock swapped actual bodies. Each of them had to pretend to be the other to enable them to complete their tasks. They eventually were able to return to their own bodies but agreed that this mishap lead each of them to a better understanding of each other. [4]

Later in the year T'Pring was forced to negotiate for Spock's life with the a pirate captain called Angel, who had seized control of the Enterprise, seeking to gain release of her lover Sybok. Spock and Chapel pretended to be in love so that T'Pring could call of their engagement altering the power dynamics of the situation and allowing Angel to be captured. [3]

In 2259, T'Pring pushed Spock into furthering their relationship by having their engagement dinner. This required Spock to complete a series of tasks which only a Vulcan could achieve. Unfortunately for Spock an away mission incident had left him fully Human earlier that day. Spocks mother helped him prepare for the rituals and he was able to complete his tasks despite his impediment. Shortly afterwards Chapel was able to convince the Kerkohvians to help repair his Vulcan DNA. When T'Pring discovered what he had done she insisted that they spend time apart. [2]

When the time for full marriage came T'Pring chose to have Spock engage in combat with Captain Kirk instead, reasoning that even if he won he would leave in disgrace, allowing her to pursue a relationship with her lover Stonn. [1]
