A native of a planet visited by Voyager in 2376, Kelemane was a local leader on the world. Voyager's presence at the time-accelerated planet caused considerable tectonic instability, and some of Kelemane's people believed that the ship was an angry deity or a new star. Kelemane wrote a letter to the inhabitants of the star and sent it aloft on a hot air balloon in hopes of stopping further earthquakes. [1]
