Adam West, the ardent actor who managed to keep his tongue in cheek while wearing the iconic cowl of the Caped Crusader on the classic 1960s series Batman, has died. He was 88.

He was my very first Batman, and probably my favorite. Fare thee well, Adam.

I was out most of the day and just saw this item. I'm not sure many non-actors realize what that took from him. RIP.
