The Huguenots v. the Catholics; the Great Schism and the Pope of Nice; and now this. I think the US and the UK should just go in and split the damn place up between us.
BTW, is "unacceptable" the strongest adjective the Interior Minister could come up with to describe police officers getting shot in the face with buckshot? Even Dick Cheney only shoots people in the face with BIRDshot!

Yeah, I'd say getting shot in the face with a 1/4 inch pellet rates a little higher than 'unacceptable'.

Every
Frackin'
Year!
Sorry, but didn't this happen around the same time last year as well? What the hell's up with France? I know Christmass is stressful and that, but come on!

Rioting does indeed seem to have taken over from striking as their national sport.

Striking is now more something of Dutch secondary education students. They think 1040 hours dedicated to educating is too much. I am NOT one of them.

1040 hours? That's even less than American students - who I had always figured were the laziest lot in the world!

Not to mention all the Republics in the last 200 years.

There's been so much of this crap in France, I was just trying to narrow it down to the more prevalent religious-ethnic issues.

Doesn't matter how much education they get. It is always too much. you should know that. for us, 1040 hours per year means like 26 hours per week.

Since when to people in france fight? I'm confused! I thought that it took, well 'balls' to fight and since the french haven't shown such in over 100 years that they would have lost them along with the tale!

No, no - they fight with each other at the drop of a hat. It's only when their entire national existence is threatened that they can't fight, or when they are called upon to act in unison with the other powers of the globe.

And knowing is... ah, never mind. :p
Anyway, this is rather pathetic. No-go zones where the police fear to patrol? Yeesh!
