Good Micro SD Card Brands?

So, I recently got an LG Optimus 2x and I'd like to get a micro sd card to store music and apps as well.
Just wondering what some good brands are.
There's brands I've never heard of like Wintec and then there's Kingston, which I'd say is pretty good. I think my RAM is Kingston.
There's also Patriot, I think they're good but I'm not sure.
Thanks
LC

SanDisc or Kingston would be my bet.

That's what I was thinking.
Also Frys seems to have the best deals where I live.
Ironically, better than BestBuy or even Walmart.

Fry's generally does.
Tiger Direct is also a good option for low prices.

I've never had any issues with SanDisc, and they seem to be available on the cheap just about everywhere.

I'd go SanDisc. The phone companies often put them in as part of the retail package (unless they did a deal with Samsung to use theirs), and they are always well regarded.
If you can get an MicroSDHC card even better.

Well I got a Kingston 4GB Class 4 microSDHC for $9.78. 8)
I guess Class 4 is kind of slow but I only intend to put mp3's on it and apps and maybe pictures on it.
I didn't realize even flash devices have less storage than advertised, but I guess that's do to the filesystem or whatever.
Maybe I'll put a 32GB card on my list for Christmas.
Anyway I'll let you know how it goes.

I always go with SanDisk but make sure you get a real one. There's lots of fakes around. Same goes for Kingson, or any of the major brands.

Well I got mine at Frys.
I kind of doubt Frys would sell fakes?

Probably not, more of a concern off some place like E-Bay. Buy a bunch of cheap knock offs then print off your own labels.

The problem is that even Frys have to get their supplies from somewhere, typically, a distributor. I've had one occurrence where the distributor fed dodgy stock into the system (to make more profit) and left a major company with egg on it's face. They replaced all the cards that were issued.

That's good - when they get out and start eating your food and drinking your beer, then you have a problem.

Often the capacity isn't what it's claimed to be, either that or the speed. For example it could report that it can hold 16GB and when you try to write more than 2GB it reports an error. Speed can only be tested by connecting it to a PC of some sort and seeing how fast you can write to it. It can show up as an issue in the like of a phone if it can't keep up with the data rate required to record video, or if it takes longer than usual to save pictures.
There's also often very minor differences in the physical attributes of the package. For example SD cards often have a notch in the plastic at one end. I've seen fakes without the notch, others where the label isn't quite printed correctly, contains misspellings etc.
