Wouldn't that make Nancy Pelosi the Vice-President? Yeah, that'll make things run more smoothly at the White House.

Be nice if it happened. What's needed 2/3rds? Or 3/4ths?

Didn't you catch the "Vice-President Pelosi" part? One step from the Presidency. The thought of that "woman" becoming the President makes me want to head-down dive off of a tall building after greasing myself with Crisco to reduce air resistance.

Bush? He represents the average American: Below average intelligence, blind conformism to dominant religious factions, excessive stubborness and unwillingness to change, DUIs, drug abuse...

Yeah, he's pretty much an average Joe over here.

The fact that he's an average joe does not make him a better leader. Indeed, in this case it make's him a menace, exacabated the the fact the he seems determined to rip up your consitution. This in itself is not a bad thing, but unfortunately he's been concentrating on the sensible bits of it, in particular the bits regarding surveillance and habeus corpus.

I never said he was a good leader.

And, I don't know how things are in the rest of the world, but in my experience, "average" is really quite dumb. 11% of Americans couldn't find America on a map when asked.

It gets worse, honestly. Over here, a person with an intellect equivalent to mine is considered quite smart. Most places in Europe, I'd only be slightly above average. Our school system is a joke. America's priorities are a joke. :x

We just had a referendum defeated here in New Jersey. The public question was whether to ISSUE BONDS in the amount of $450 mil. to fund stem cell research. After it was defeated, a number of people mentioned in "man on the street" interviews that they voted against it because they couldn't see where the money would come from.

I'm not kidding.

And Pelosi WOULD be a better veep than Cheney.

Come on, dude. Who do you think has kept the President's crayons sharpened for the last 7 years? What would happen if our commander-in-chief couldn't make it through Mayor McCheese's Fantastic Fun Maze because his favorite crimson crayon wore flat? The man has the doomsday switch inside his Looney Tunes lunchbox, Mikey. Did you even consider the ramifications before you posted that? For God's sake, man, think of the consequences!!!

What the President wants, the President gets, and if getting to the end of his Happy Meal Fun Pack means invading Canada and nuking the Galapagos Islands, that's what will happen.

Funny, I don't recall electing a God-King to office...
