Attention Gamers

Just a poll of curiosity. This is by no means an attempt to start a console war, and no one should try to turn it into one please. You have enough votes to vote for everything once, please no double (or more) voting, even if you have owned multiples of the same console. And yeah, I know this isn't a complete list, but we have a 20 item limit on polls, so I just stuck with the most widely known game systems. If you owned something not on the list, feel free to mention it.

For example, I regretfully admit to having owned a Virtual Boy...it is a shame I shall never live down.

As for you PC gamers, just mark the final poll option and let it be.

The Virtual boy was awesome, for it's time, terrible that it was so expensive, but it is pretty cool nonetheless.

It was awesome in concept. In reality, it had too few games, the red only color raped your eyes, and there was just no comfortable way to play it.

This fits better here than in FC.

Same here with the 64, it had some fun games. I can't really play the old 1st person shooters on it anymore though, it feels too weird after spending the last few years getting so used to the dual joysticks of modern controllers.

SNES, N64, Wii, and I one of the Gameboy's, I *think* a Game Boy Color.

And I recently bought an original xbox just to play halo 2.

But, PC all the way now. Consoles are just too expensive, money black holes. :|

I've only owned a PC... but if you asked how many I've played, well a lot.

I've got my PS2 that I basically only use as a DVD player, (but still have a couple of games) and my Xbox 360, which is my baby. 8)

I use the PS3 in the same way, we've got an original and an updated slimline. I have the original and use it as a DVD/Blu-ray player while the slimline is downstairs.

None. That;s right, none. But, I do have a question - we are considering getting a motion-sensitive console for the fam this Xmas; what's best for a family, including a 6-year-old: Wii, XBox w/ Kinect, or PS Move? I'm getting the impression that Wii has a lot more family-oriented software available, but I'd like some input.

Xbox/Kinect or Wii. The Kinect software is nowhere near as mature yet and it's not quite so overtly kiddy-friendly but its got the added value of having other game types available, and no controllers to accidentally throw at TV's if its kinect games. The Wii however has an abundance of child-centric games from all over, and is far far cheaper. I wouldn't even bother with the PS Move personally.

I'd go for the Wii, Nintendo makes the best family oriented stuff by far.

And poor Dreamcast, not one vote.

I noticed there wasn't even an option for Colecovision or Vectrex. ;)
