Stewart's Speech

I think the guy makes some good points. Sad that we seem to need a comedian to point out how overblown we've gotten and how we need to tone it down.

What a strange country the US of A, where the news and political debates are on the comedy central channel and the satire and comedy is on FOX news.

Virtually all that I hear from that man is unfunny and politicaly whacky. When he addressed our government it was supposed to use comedy as a metaphor, it flopped. At least Jon Stewart attempted to use reason at his rally to let people know that yes times are tough but that they can get better. Yes I realize Colbert was supposed to be a satirical counterpoint to Stewart, a waste of time IMO.

Colbert is actually supposed to be a satirical counterpart to the O'reilly's and Becks of the world. He's meant to satire the conservative Talking Heads on the networks, which (IMO of course) he does rather well
