She's an entertainer, not an elected official or anything. Basically the right's version of South Park or Family Guy, which have been offensive to, well, tons of groups actually, but Muslims included. Well, probably more like Jon Stewart or Al Franken (before he ran for office).

You just don't like her humor (or much of anything she does). Not that I'm a fan of hers either, but I do feel like there's a double standard in effect over who can use offensive humor.

Though she's getting press over this which will probably drive up book sales, so she's probably enjoying this.
