Yet another idiot finding the most abominable and terrible name for her child. In this case, Megatron.

And Darwin is flouted by the fact that anyone who would do such a thing was yet able to find a breeding partner.

Of course not - they wouldn't even consider inflicting such a name on the poor kid.

He'll get called Starscream.

Ok, ok, someone on this site HAD to have considered naming their offspring or future offspring after one of the Star Trek characters.

For example Uhura Deepcrush, James T. Tsukiyumi or Quark Kennedy have nice rings to 'em. :poke:

But I will have to admit had my cocker spaniel had been female we would have named her Kes. But since he's male his name is Topper, after the main character in Hot Shots. 8)

Meh. I named my dog after a sports figure, so I'm not sure that's any different than this.

Except for the fact of Phil Simms being an actual person, and going 22 - 25 with three touchdowns in Super Bowl XXI, setting Super Bowl records for consecutive completions, accuracy, and passer rating in the process

Its horrible that this had to come up. One of the girls at works husband is a Transformers nut. After seeing Transformers 2 he wanted to get her IUD removed so she could get pregnant again (they have a one year old daughter).

Just so he could have a sun, and name him............you guessed it. Optimus Prime Holyfield.

I'd have thought that carrying a large fusion reaction around for 9 months would be a bit uncomfortable for his missus.

Yet another child that will be either known by their middle name or be forced to waste $80 at the courthouse getting their name changed.

That was my question, but apparently not...the husband is kind of an ass. When he found out that I'm Jewish he told me he lost his grandfather at a camp in the holocaust. I of course mumbled something like a polite condolance. He said "Yeah...he fell out of the guard tower"

Nice guy. Now I won't feel bad when his kid comes home in twenty years and kills him for giving him a name like that.
