Which Universe Would You Like To See More Of?
I'm sure we've all at one point in our lives run across a game, book or film which portrays a particularly interesting setting and leaves you wanting to see more. Unfortunately, a great many universes are left unexpanded, with little to nothing being known about them.
So what sci-fi universe would you like to see more of in books, games and movies? And why?

Firefly is hands down my number one choice.

The Culture. We get a great smattering of "we deign to correct all those primitive other civilizations" in the books, but I'd be interested to see those actual other civilizations in relation to the Culture. There are plenty who are considered lesser things worth only observation and correction, like an ant farm, as well as those (like the Affront) which the Culture considers at least a minor threat, and keeps under close scrutiny.

I'll agree with this.Tsukiyumi wrote:Firefly is hands down my number one choice.
Also, Exosquad would be great. Followed by Terminator and Space Above and Beyond.

I think Beast Wars was good but it lived its time and died strong.

Legion of the Damned by Diaz. Set up a very interesting premise but only hit two books. Two good books mind you but only two. Additionally the Bolo universe.

Firefly was the first thing to come to my mind too. We could all use more B5 also ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

How many Minbari does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

Actually, I think Harry Potter is fine the way it is. She told her story and expanded the universe just enough. While I suppose an "after-the-war" story or a story focusing on some other aspect of the society would be nice, I think it's fine where she left it. She told her story, gave us great amounts of detail, and with any luck will bow out gracefully as opposed to trying to milk it for all its worth.shran wrote:Harry Potter anyone?
