Most annoying characters in fiction
We've talked about the most annoying characters in ST, now what about the rest? Jar Jar Binks, Frank Burns, Wheelie... Who would you love to hit with a spiked mallet in the face?
Re: Most annoying characters in fiction
Jar Jar Binks gets my vote. As does Frank Burns.

I can't say Frank Burns, just because he was supposed to be an antagonistic foil, and was intended to be the vehicle for a message.

Re: Most annoying characters in fiction
Now are we talking characters intended to be annoying (ie Frank Burns), or those who just were annoying (ie Jar Jar Binks)?

It's a tie between Boxeye and Jar Jar. Personally, I'm willing to give it to Boxey. At least Jar Jar gave us the Empire. ![Razz :P](./images/smilies/icon_razz.gif)

Say what you will about him. When Jar Jar tanked Lucas just about wrote him out of Eps 2 and 3.

No trees were killed in transmission of this message. However, some electrons were mildly inconvenienced.

I didn't think Martha was too bad. At least she was able to actually do stuff, unlike that other one.

Which other one - Rose or Catherine Tate? The former was at least the first run through of the "companion falls in love with the Doctor" routine RTD seems so fond of, and the latter was a refreshing change from said routine. Martha came across as Rose Tyler with extra whine.

I'm gonna open this up to characters supposed to be annoying and characters that are accidentally annoying. Because when you think about it, if they're intentionally annoying... they're still annoying. ![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
