I don't know if anyone else is following this, but it always gives me strange feeling when a historical turning point approaches. In the next couple of days, we could either see a genuine popular democratic overthrow of one of the worlds most repressive regimes, or another Tiananmen. It seems unlikely that it will fizzle out at this point.

watch out for the 'whitehead monks', the chinese ministry of state security MSS is reporting that the burmese security forces, are attempting to infiltrate the protesters,so several are shaving their heads, the newly naked heads, not exposed to sun, will be pale in comparison

The Burmese Junta would be funny if they weren't so brutal. I mean they held elections 15 or so years ago, then just ignore the result. Did they somehow think they would win, or did they cock up the vote rigging?
Then there's the whole move the capital to a new site in the jungle chosen by astrologers.....
