I got to hand it to Bethesda (Same people who do Fallout). While most other companies would just release a box set not Bethesda. You don't see most franchises that are still going doing this.
Now because they're DOS programs You have to follow the kind of complex instructions:

I was able to get both to work just fine and I haven't used DOS since I was like in forth grade (I miss my little dinosaur eating people screen saver). However a weird thing happened, see I installed Elder Scrolls 2 first, and it worked. So I went back and downloaded Elder Scrolls 1 and now 2 doesn't work (wanted to test the shortcut at the bottom of the second install instructions I posted). I think I know what I did but odd.
Unlike the Ascendancy game I posted earlier or the Ur-Quan masters game there's no Windows version of this out. So sadly you have to use DOSbox. But DOS Is a good program to learn anyway. Lot of the very best games are DOS games. No I'm not lying. Go play X-Wing Gold if you don't believe me
If anyone has any problems installing them let me know. They're pretty straight forward. I used 'DOS' as the name of my DOS directory. Far shorter than dosgames or documents\dosgames. I think that's the superior route to go since you have to type the damn thing out and cntrl V doesn't work. Believe me I tried.
Oh and if anyone knows the command to run Warcraft 2 in DOS mode that would be cool. I've been trying to finish it for over a year now. I downloaded the next 350 level unofficial expansion pack so its quite a goal believe me. And the damn thing crashes all the time in windows.
