Alright, so I was thinking, in the Christian religion God impregnated the Virgin Mary. So this creates a Catch 22. Did God rape her? If so then that would be evil. But if she consensually cheated on her husband with God then wouldn't she burn in hell? Jesus the Savior or no she cheated on her husband. But on the other hand if she was a virgin then they hadn't consummated their marriage and so was it really legit? If Joseph and Mary were just courting when God had his fling would Mary then still have a bad wrap? But then again what if Mary and God dated for awhile. Did God buy her dinner or just impregnate her and leave her in some stables. How many dates did they go on? Did he pay? Did Mary give it up on the first date and then marry Joseph? Does that make Joseph a cuckold?

Bottom line, is Joseph a cuckold and was Mary raped or is she the kind of woman to have many flings with deities?

I believe it was consentual. If I recall my old religion class correctly, God asked Mary would she be willing to give birth to Jesus. She agreed, and it was so. Mary and Joseph weren't actualy married at that point, though. He married her after she explained what had happened because any woman who was pregnant and not married back in ye olden days was stoned.

For me, the more interesting question is just how Joseph took it.

Mary: "I'm pregnant."
Joseph: "What? But we've never had sex!"
Mary: "Uh....God did it."

Um.... This is a tad odd. They weren't married at the time, so technically she didn't cheat on her husband. But there was no actual contact. He kinda made Jesus in her womb, so technically neither. But with the question your asking, it would be consensual based on the bible.

Yeah, the Bible actually showed some forethought and conveniently made the whole thing a non-issue. Impregnation without intercourse; plus, no marital issues as they weren't yet married.
