Xbox tech support

While not STRICTLY speaking a video game, I just spent a hundred bucks on a wireless connector for my new 360 and for some reason it won't catch my wireless signal, even though my laptop does with no problem in the same spot.
Any ideas on what the problem could be?

Sucks or not, you'd still figure it would connect to the network, wouldn't you?

So an Ethernet cable would be better then?
What happened to her by the way? She decided she didn't like us?

Do you use a security code for your wireless connection?

Yes, the ethernet cable is better.
Not that she didn't like you, just that she didn't have much in common.

Seems I may have an incompatable wireless router. Going to pick up a 12' long ethernet cable tonight. That should get me on.

Yes, you need to check if your router supports whatever band the Xbox transceiver uses (A,B, G, N etc).

Shouldn't have a problem, I plugged mine in and it worked right away.
