I dont give a damn if they are stupid or moronic, that doesn't mean they cant exist. If they are criminals, fine. But they are punished AFTER the crime. Prove to me that you can genetically tell a criminal as a child. If you cant, they have a right to live UNTIL they commit the crime.
How is preventing someone from being born murder? That's like pro-life to the extreme.
That concept reminds me of
this.

It's murder in the same way that launching a missile at someone before they can fight back is a pre-emptive strike. Your just terminating them in the first stages of development.

No I'm terminating them in no stage of development. There is no fetus. There is no zygote. There is no sperm and egg meeting. That's like saying you slaughter 300 million babies if you jack off at night. Its ludicrous.

Shall I split the beginnings of the abortion debate to another thread?
I don't really have a stance on this issue. Personaly, I'm against eugenics. Unfortunately, it may end up being the only realistic thing to do. We're already pushing the planet's resources to the limits in terms of sustaining ourselves. Already there're probably on the order of a couple billion people living in a state of permanent hunger and thirst. If no restrictions are put on the birthrates, just how long will it be until we litteraly pass the point of no return, where we can no longer sustain our own populace? A few decades, at best. What will we do then?

Might be a good idea. There's another topic on eugenics burried a little further down too if you wanted to split that and merge it if you ever stumble across it.

Well, the debate was over whether or not you could justify what amounts to an abortion. Ergo, an abortion debate.

No it was whether or not sterilizing was the same as abortion. Hence part of the sterilizing thread and reason I said pretty much that idea was complete nuts.

/sigh
Well I think that kills the debate we were having. I'm all for debating rather or not changing your mind about having sex is the same as aborting a 8 month fetus but a prochoice vs prolife thread no thanks

Well, tell you what: I'll leave this thread as is until sometime tonight. If someone comes along and actualy argues the issue of abortion, It'll stay this way. If it's still empty, I'll merge it back with the other thread.

Population control - even a strict form, like that found in China - isn't necessarily eugenics.
