Then, of course, they'd just have to recalibrate the IQ scale to place 100 at average again and suddenly we'd all have lower IQs. Keep up the process and you'll be down to one guy so smart he has 12 doctoral degrees and 378 patents at the age of 16 but doesn't know what a girl even is and can't tie his shoes.

That's what high schoolers and people working through college are for!

if we are going to enact a eugenics program, how are you going to treat people with say, a decent intelligence, but poor skills to enact that intelligence which will result in them doing stupid things?

An example would be an autistic person who may be hyperintelligent, but will tell when his gf is blowing him that he cheated on her. An example of a rl Darwin award, with the alteration that the person is now socially largely incapable of acting in a more fitting way.
Thus, his actions would let him qualify to be removed from the gene pool because he acted like an idiot, but in fact, they overshadow other qualities. How would a eugenics program deal with that?

I suppose it would qualify him. We'd have to ask Himmler how he dealt with it

In eugenics, I would have been eliminated because of my Asperger's. For a while, I was socially inept. However, I have improved over time.
Edison would have been eliminated as well.

I think you misunderstand Eugenics. The t4 program of Nazi Germany is not Eugenics. Eugenics is the sterilization not elimination of society's unwanted. Nazis upped the anty beyond where I think most of us would ever want.

And by forcing sterilization upon people, we remove their right to existence. We effectively say, "we can tell you what to do because we are better than you." Well, those "better" ones are the same ones that have gone to war, the same ones that make life impossible to live.

I think your exaggerating a bit here. The people who were forcibly sterilized in recent history were severely mentall ill and were not competant enough not to fuck. And where sterilized so that the state wasn't swamped with Wards.

Yes, I know. But eugenics has a way of getting out of hand.

I admit that I am not fully aware of the Eugenics conventions, but I believe I would have been "eliminated".
