Keep in mind they didn't say how many people they polled, or where. You ask a hundred people in the bible belt, you'd probably get "99% of Americans believe the universe is 6,000 years old."

I don't think everyone of the 63% are stupid. As there have been many intelligent people in the past who believe in creationism. But a lot of that 63% are stupid.

No we are just fighting evolution tooth and nail. When is the last time you heard of very smart people having 7-8 children all with different partners, or hospital re-attaching a hand because a person with a descent IQ put his hand under the lawn mower?

Yep. We've cut the majority of natural selection out of our evolution, through our technology. I wouldn't be surprised to see that humans a hundred years from now are even more retarded than the majority today.
