Spam doesnt really bother me. I don't get much and the bit I do is easily ignored.

I think if people are dumb enough to fall for any of the scams seen in spam they didnt deserve their money in the first place.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

the article should have wrote:The United States is the biggest source of spam, accounting for 17.2 percent of the messages. Turkey and Russia ranked second and third, accounting for 9.2 percent and 8 percent of spam respectively, followed closely by one particular household in Ireland, according to Cisco.

Same here. If I don't recognise the source, I hit Delete.

Jeez, the amount of bandwidth wasted on junk email. Cable/phone companies are spending untold millions on building and maintaining networks to keep up with the expansion of internet traffic, and how much of it is wasted on spam? That bandwidth could be used for better things - like sharing porn! :P

I do recall reading one interesting story somewhere about the spam business, which described how these messages only get a click through from one in a couple of million people - but even though most people are smart enough to delete them, this can actually be profitable since the people behind the spam don't pay any fees to send them due to the use of infected "spambot" user PCs. :bangwall:

Many of the countries where shady internet businesses are big, like Russia, don't bother to crack down even though they have some means to, since that would stop the flow of foreign money into their countries. :bangwall: :bangwall:

Agreed.

Not with your incorrect usage of "there", but with the concept that it would be great to make their computers explode in their faces. :P

Oh yes, I've pictured a message going back to the spammers (the creators, not the "victim" infected bot computers) for every one sent until their service is jammed to all heaven (approximate time: 0.00000000000000000001 nanoseconds at the rate Spam goes out :P ). Unfortunately, the largest DDoS attack in history would not actually render the computers of these f*cks smoking wrecks like they should be, but that's not a problem in one's daydreams
