US Bombs Syria!

Post by Monroe »

How many Minbari does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

I don't know what to think of that. :?

Here we go again. A slight improvement over bombing the Pakistanis, given that the Syrians were unlikely to be too helpful to start with, but not exact the way to win friends and influence people.

Why must this stigma attach to us? :bangwall:
Better headline... US makes another enemy; go figure.

Personaly I think "US bombs another neutral country, again" would have been better.

On the plus side, at least they're not bombing an allied country this time. That's an improvement, right?

Thats nice, they start to see things in our light and then we attack them. Correct me if I'm wrong but shouldn't it be the other way around? :?

Really? Do you have to wonder?

Bush is exiting, but his mindset lives on...

Deep is right - we'll punish those bastards for adopting a neutral attitude toward us instead of a hostile one!

anonymous US official: "The one piece of the puzzle we have not been showing success on is the nexus in Syria."
Maj. General John Kelly: "The Syrian side is, I guess, uncontrolled by their side. We still have a certain level of foreign fighter movement."

... so let's send commandos in firing to an agricultural town! After, of course, US Marines were able to recapture al-Qaeda held territory in late 2006 ONLY with the help of local Sunni forces.

I suddenly had a picture of that scene from Futurama where Zap Brannigan is so eager to attack the Neutral People of Pacifist Seven (or whatever) because "you just don't know where you stand with those neutrals....."
