Pakistan ordered to fire on US Troops

How many Minbari does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

Well, exercising zero ethics will do that. But then again George W. Bush was guided by God, so maybe it was meant for the world to hate us.

I find it more telling that no one here is going "what? I'm totaly shocked!". At this stage no one is surprised to hear about the US getting into hostilities with other countries.

King George is the only one who's surprised by the fact that excercising arbitrary dominance and ignoring sovereignty will piss people off.

It's just a semi unfortunate but understandable step in an awkward situation. They can't control their territory, but they don't want other nations doing it for them. They were willing to look the other way until we hit some civilians. I don't think there will be many efforts in the US government to get them to change the policy as we'd rather just let a generally friendly government have it's credibility and keep power.

Just a bad deal. Personally I think we should looking into getting them some cheaper ground attack aircraft of their own instead of F-16s.

Supposedly, we'll be divesting ourselves of some older-spec A-10's; maybe they wouldn't mind a good deal on some slightly-used tankbusters?

King George: "Well, now....Pakistan decided they wouldn't support us anymore. Like I said all those years ago, if your not with us, your against us. We'll just have to invadify them too."

Thats the problem with the "War on Terrorism" you can't win, no matter what you do there will always be more nutjobs lining up to strap on some c-4. Its a loose-loose really... you don't kill their family and they try and kill you because they think you killed their friends family, you kill thier family and they try and kill you...

I don't know.. if a US or allied soldier gets shot by a Pakistani for trying to kill Bin Ladin I wouldn't be upset if we bombed them.

They don't have an issue with trying to kill bin Laden - they've been putting up a decent effort themselves recently. It's the barging into their country without asking bit that they're (understandably) taking umbridge at.
