PETA: What Is Your Plan?

Ok, we all know what PETA is about and what they want. Now a serious question: what are we going to do with all the domesticated animals if we stop eating meat and keeping pets? Cows, pigs, chickens and virtually any other farm animal are either to stupid to survive on their own or possess no inherited survival skills. So what exactly do they plan on happening, besides being shortly over run by feral cats.
Have these clowns de arse made any statements on the matter?

The magic fairy will wave her wand and all the animals in question will become perfectly aware of what they need to do to survive.

Pigs can go feral really easily. They'll be fine. Cows and chickens though, good luck. If the wolves and bears don't get them, the 18-wheelers will.
From PETA's website:
"What's wrong with factory farms or fur farms? Aren't animals worse off in the wild, where they die of starvation, disease, or predation? At least the animals on factory farms and fur farms are fed and protected."
A similar argument was used to support the claim that black people were better off as slaves on plantations than as free men and women. The same could also be said of people in prison, yet prison is considered to be one of society's harshest punishments. Animals on factory farms suffer so much that it is inconceivable that they could be worse off in the wild. The wild isn't "wild" to the animals who live there-it's their home. There, they have their freedom and can engage in their natural activities. The fact that they might suffer in the wild is no reason to ensure that they suffer in captivity.

Of course, the comparison is perfect because farm animals are all just as intelligent as humans, and would be able to take care of themselves perfectly as soon as they were released.

Really, my above comment isn't too far off of what they think will happen. They just assume that things will work out. This mindset is helped by the fact that they know fracking nothing.

Yeah, I figure pigs would be beter off than most.

Well you know what I think already. Remember my post about the hypocracy of giving aid to an animal and not to a person.
Sure some animals deserve some rights. Orcas, some primates, and what not. But you can't group all animals in the same catagory. Its natural for us to eat animals. Its natural for us to do so in the easiest fashion. Slaughter plants are a natural result of humans being omnivoures.

If we just opened all the doors and gates and let animals run free 99% would be dead in a year, house pets wouldnt survive and farm animals would starve with out winter feed.
But at least they die free...

15 years or so ago a bunch of eco-nuts released a bunch of minks from a farm in my hometown. 30% or so died immediately after they discovered the highway and the others were eaten by coyotes and other predators within a week.

If they want to reliese all animals, they're gonna have to come to my house and physically remove my 10ft Gator. 8)

Yes, because we all know of the mighty herds of Holsteins that once roamed free through our land.
Of course the wild isn't "wild" to the animals who live there! We're not talking about those animals!
OK, even if we're talking about a truly "wild" species - release 150x the "natural" amount for a given territory INTO that territory and what happens? Slow, painful deaths due to disease and starvation, plus a glut of predators who also then die slowly once that initial influx of prey has died before being able to procreate.

What gets me is they want to release pets. so they want to "free" animals from their cosy warm and loving lives to be "free"?

Yep, because you're oppressing and enslaving your pets by giving them a nice warm home, plenty of food and a safe environment.

Oh my poor dog that was rescued from being forced to kill things due to her breed! Oh I feel so evil giving her a loving family and feeding her food! Woe is me, what have i done!

Yeah. My cat (the one that died back in May) wouldn't leave unless I phisically carried her out. It was a pain to take her to the vet. When she was a kitten, someone decided that a good way to get rid of her was a garbage bag. So, she did not like the outside at all. She liked me though, especially my hair.
