Super Metroid

Post by Tsukiyumi »

I never played any of the other Metroid titles, but this game remains one of my all-time favorites, and is still IMO, one of the best games ever made. It's a bit before a lot of people's time (I'm looking at you, Reliant :) ), but if you never played it, you should download an SNES emulator, get a $10 USB controller (like mine  ), and check it out.

I love the whole Metroid series, from the original NES (which I own) to SuperMetroid (yep, that too) to Metroid: Prime and Prime: Echoes, both for GameCube. With M:P and M:PE, they are 1st person shooters, but they still retain the spirit of the scrollers, and the graphics are among the best of the time. All are amazing games!

I also play Super Metroid at times.
