I'm sorry, but I'm not stripping in below 0o weather.

So you're not going to relieve yourself in the couple days we're marooned here? You're a stronger man than I then. I'm pretty regular. I'll even volunteer to go first.

Maybe we could rig a pod to function as a head... but I'm no engineer.

For what it's worth, I was born in the New Boston colony on Alpha Centauri III and just graduated from the Academy last year. Hell of a first assignment...

I think that the whole stripping down and getting off is a little bit... odd... I don't know what a founder can do, and I think that they would be able to have it keep it's form until it freezes... But that's just a thought...

Annoying to diagnose, we call it crusher syndrome now, and he's the only one to ever have had it, and hopefully the only one that ever will... God how I hated that boy.
So, Mark, what did you do before Starfleet, just curious, and why did you start so late?
Well, since I enlisted at 17...I had to finish high school first. Not EXACTLY late. If your asking why I never went to the acadamy, and thus didn't get a commission until rather late, it's because I seem to lack patience, or so they tell me. The idea of sitting in school for 4 years while I COULD be out in space was unthinkable.
And while the rest of you are discussing the expulsion of bodily fluids, I'm going to get some more wood.

Thank you Mr. Mark for getting more wood, and would we be able to throw something up over the fire to keep it from getting wet?

Anything we could put over the fire would accumulate snow, thus collapsing what we make, thus putting out the fire. I think the best we can do is not let it go out.

If we give it a slope the snow would then fall off it...

Right... hence why I became a medic and not an engineer.

Haha, very true, I guess I do know something about wilderness living... Something kind of useful.

What got me interested in weapons, both my parents were tactical officers, It appealed to me more than any other department.
As for my age, as I said, Starfleet was and is my life, I've been training for this since before I was twelve, so technically speaking I may have the most experience out of anyone, except Mr. Glic

Very interesting Mr. Staplic, You probably do have the most experiance, and especially the best, as anything learned in the earlier years of life becomes more instinctual than thoughtful, so most things you know of survival is probably second nature. So, do you have any clue of any materials we may be able to make a 'roof' out of? It would be very helpful; plus we would be able to keep the fire going all night most probably. Also, how many shots do you think we have left in the phaser?

Sorry I missed Story Time. I was trying to eke a few more joules out of the batteries. I applied to the academy at 18 and got accepted. I originally entered as a stellar cartography major and realized I got along better with computers than I did with people ... Except for those mysterious sensor lab problems. I swear the operating system on this ship hates me! I graduated early last year and spent 6 months as an RA (research assistant) in an Earth-based lab before requesting star duty. 6 Months ago I joined the crew of the Masamune. Then computers started to hate me.

Both of the operating phaser's have full batteries, so depending on the setting and burst anywhere between fifty to a thousand shots, we don't have to worry about ammo.
Rochey had the idea best to stay in the pods, If we had more power I'd suggest moving the pods together and trying to establish a 1-2 kJ field between them to protect the camp from the snow, but that really isn't an option. If we keep the fire stoked though we shouldn't have a problem with it staying lit.
