The Conny is like something the Russians would build. Can take one hell of a beating but not the prettyest or most advanced bit of kit out there.

Well, I suppose that's a matter of opinion, but I prefer a ship that looks like it'll stay in one piece when the shooting starts.

Arent you the guy who says the struts are the stupidest weakest part of the ship. Yet you think the ship with the skinnest struts is strong?

Of course the struts are stupid, I never said otherwise. However, the ship does look sturdier overall than later designs.

Is I've already commented elsewhere, I wouldn't be surprised if 24th century Starfleet ships are built and manned more as AMCs than as true warships, with the armament being slapped on after a good exploration or science ship has been designed. It would at least partially explain the repeated idiot insistences that Starfleet "isn't a military organisation".

I can assure you me and Rochey are not clones. But it is interesting however, that I am not the only one who came up with the same conclusions on the Galaxy class.

Believe me, we're not alone on our opinions of the Galaxy class floating bomb.
