Septics? Wow, you know your country has become a joke when that's the best they can come up with...

Rhyming slang - septic tank.

I understood the use of "septic" as shorthand for "septic tank," but with what is that supposed to rhyme? I suppose now you're going to tell me that you have some obscure British usage for the term "rhyming?"

To be fair, we're in a thread where they are pretending to NOT be Europeans...

Yank and septic...
It would almost work if they had anything in common other then your bruised egos... like maybe a letter.

Septic Tank. Cockney rhyming slang uses one superfluous word in the front and then the second word which rhymes. I suppose if it were really created to fool idiot policemen it might help to throw them off a bit. Septic was short on septic tank.
Deep, do you have to be an arse about everything that ever happens? I respect you to quite a degree as I do everyone on this forum but you seem to be doing nothing more than digging conversation points that had long since suffered the timely arrival of the TR-116 effect. Not only that, but do so in a manner that verges on racism. It just seems...unnecessary.
I don't mind having a light hearted little knock at you guys and getting equal back; it's par for the course and fun. But being so...bitter, or so it seems anyway, just seems a bit much.

Yes. Honesty works both ways, for good and bad things.

A, if a point comes up and requires a fight then you should know by now that I'll likely get involved.
B, I am a racist, as in I hate most of the human race and will find something to hate about all the "races" in the race.
C, Its my belief that dishonesty is always a necessary fight.

I don't feel bitter towards DITL, its more like being disappointed. DITL is often like that student you catch chewing gum, its popped and stuck some on their nose and yet they still just deny it. You can get some good work out of the kid, and may even like them most of the time (in the case of DITL being most of the members) but still just can't trust or truly respect them because they lie or twist things so often. I normally get that sense about it.

Funny, a lot of us feel the same about you. And honestly, everyone in the world will always feel a little bit of that toward everyone else in the world.

The best lesson I ever learned about the internet was essentially that from any person's point of view most other people are idiots and assholes for much of the time - and if I make it my mission to rant at them I'd give myself a lifetime of angry ranting that would accomplish nothing. Accepting that it's perfectly okay for other people to be idiots and assholes by my standards, and for them to think the same of me, was an immensely liberating thing and made me a much more contented person.
As XKCD put it, does anybody really want to spend their life as this guy?

Yes, but since the opinions of dishonest people aren't important to me it doesn't really matter.

You may not like me, which is fine, but I hope I haven't done anything here for you to put me in the category of "dishonest." If I have, let me know exactly when and where. If not and "dishonest" is just your shorthand for "I don't like you" - well, I won't lose any sleep over that.

It just seems like such a sad way to lead a life. to just hate everything to save disappointment. I don't know, perhaps I am an idealist or just live in more pleasant environment.

@ mikey, if someone is honest or not is different to me then liking them or not. I also doubt my opinion of you matters to much to you so let's not dwell on it.
@ reliant, To be honest, It's not really a choice for me. I'm to damned stubborn to be more forgiving and to literal to be forgiven. Btw, you're "racist" statement abou me came in the defense of the term "septic", think on that for a bit.

And I have explained why septic was used. Shortened for septic tank -> Cockney rhyming slang phrase -> Tank rhyming with Yank even if septic is superfluous -> Yank being used as slang for American, however incorrectly. The septic bit, as far as I am aware, isn't designed to call American's sewage or something similar. While I think perhaps using it to refer to a people who won't get the meaning may not have been the wisest choice, I doubt Seafort meant it offensively considering he put a

face on the end of it. *shrug*
On the same note, I didn't really take much notice to Mikey using limey bastards to refer to us. All good fun, in my view.
